3. Fill your personal details like, IQAMA NUMBER, EMAIL, PREFERED LANGUAGE, MOBILE NUMBER.

4. Agree with the terms by clicking on check box, and click on OK to proceed with it.

5. You will get a SMS message on the number you entered from MOI having verification code. Enter iqama number and received code and click on OK.

6. Choose your Username and password and click on OK.

7. Your account created, Now print the form to activate your account.

8. Reach your nearest Jawazat office or KIOSK with printed form and iqama for activating it.

9. You can also activate your account by internet banking of your bank account.

WHAT IS IQAMA?

Iqama is a personal identity card for the expatriates who came to Saudi Arabia for work. When you enter newly in kingdom on a 90 days working visa your sponsor get to manage Iqama for you. Iqama is a residence permit for expatriates, which is applicable after your 90 days working visa. Generally iqama validity will be a one year or two years in a Hijri date. Iqama contains Iqama number, Employee Name, Sponsor Name, Place of Issue, Date of Expire issued from ministry of interior.

SOMEONE REGISTERED UKNOWN SIMS USING IQAMA

Be careful, If you left your iqama copy somewhere or if you gave a photocopy of your iqama to someone, It may be possible your iqama may be misused by someone for few bucks. I seen few of my friends whose iqama was misused, Even they did not share a photocopy of their iqama to anyone. Few of Small shop distributors register sims on unknown iqama and they sell your named sim to some other one for little money.

As i said, My friend was a victim of this issue, someone registered nearly seven STC sims on his name without his awareness. He came to know that when he got messages from STC. He got that messages because he was using same network sim and he registered online account with STC to track his services. As he got messages, He checked his online account of STC and found those seven Sims available on his name. He called customer care, They requested him to go to store. He also used online chat option available on STC site, the response was same. He visited stores the response was not good. At last he visited main store of STC, finally he blocked those numbers and removed those Sims.

You can also inquire about any unknown Sims on you iqama by going to directly telecom network sites customer care chat by inform your iqama. Ask them any Sims are registered with this iqama id? Saudi Arabia telecom networks are Mobily, Zain and STC. Its better to check all these three networks.

Airport officials may stop you by going home, if there is any balance on your iqama. So be careful when you are using your iqama copies.

HOW TO TRAVEL FROM TRAIN IN SAUDI ARABIA

Its easy and comfortable to travel in Saudi Arabia by train, As the railways provided luxurious trains to travel from one place to another place in Saudi Arabia. This luxurious features in trains are WiFi access, Air conditioning, Comfortable Seats, Place for prayer, Separate compartment for ladies and families. Inner design of trains are similar to flights. As Saudi is on top position on road accidents, Its better to choose train for long journey. If you want to travel from Riyadh to Dammam you also can choose sharing taxi, which will charge you 100 SR. Unfortunately Saudi Railways are still in development, Big projects are awaiting to finish soon. For now Saudi Railways have only train services are

1. Riyadh To Dammam via Abqiq and Hufof railway stations.

2. Dammam To Riyadh via Hufof and Abqiq railway stations.

In between this two cities, Two more stations Abqiq and Hufof, where train will halt for few minutes.

If you are assuming trains will be faster than your vehicle, then you may be wrong. As for now the train speed limit is only 150 km per hour, Train will not go beyond this speed, By this speed the train will travel from Riyadh to Dammam or Dammam to Riyadh about 500 km in 4 hours journey. In future they are going to increase the speed.

HOW TO BOOK A TICKET OF TRAIN

1. Go to railway station, Before one day of travel for booking your ticket. Sometimes (luckily) you get just before few hours of train departure.

2. Online Booking, You can book online your ticket from saudirailways.org website.

- While booking online you must select "PAY ONLINE" which will give you 3 days time to pay online by alotting bill reference number.

- You can pay for your ticket through your internet banking or atm by entering bill reference number in SADAD section of banking.

Note : Without Iqama or passport you cannot able to travel in saudi railways trains.

However there are only two ways to do a job change for those who are on company visa.

First way is go for final exit and come with new visa.

NITAQAT CATEGORIES OF KAFEEL (EMPLOYER) OR COMPANIES IN SAUDI ARABIA

Nitaqat category is introduced by ministry of labor in mid of 2011 to provide more jobs to Saudi nationals than expatriates. Nitaqat category is categorized in 4 colors, Every company will be in one of these four categories which are Red, Yellow, Green and Platinum. These categories are allotted to the company on the basis of Saudi employees on that company.

WHITE CATEGORY :

White cateory is assigned for those whose employees are lessthan 10 with one saudi employee, it is not covered under nitaqat system.

PLATINUM AND GREEN CATEGORY :

Platinum or green cateogry is alotted to those companies whose saudi employees are about 40% (for platinum) and 12% (for green). Platinum and green color nitaqat system have benefits like

1. Easily getting new visa in every 2 months.

2. Can renew iqamas before 3 months of expiry.

3. Easily can change of employees professions.

4. Accept new employees under red or yellow cateogries.

YELLOW CATEGORY :

The company will fall in yellow zone if their saudi employees are about 7%.

Yellow category have advantages with disadvantages like

1. Get one new visa for 2 employees sponsorship depart.

2. No transfers from another sponsors

3. Unable to renew iqamas for those employees who completed 4 years.

4. Unable to stop those employees who want to move their sponsorship's to green or platinum category.

RED CATEGORY :

A company having 4% of Saudi employees will qualify for red category in nitaqat system. Red category kafeel or employer does not have any benefits from ministry of labor like

1. No new visas for expatriates

2. Unable to accept another company employees

3. Let the employees go for green or platinum companies

How to apply for family visit visa in Saudi Arabia :

Note : According to Arab news (Dated: 26-12-2014), passport department imposed a new rule that is now family visa is limited to 180 days only that is 6 months only.

Saudi Arabia may not be a place of fun or entertainment to the expatriates who are staying alone far from their country. They have an option of feeling home by bringing their family either in visit or permanent visa depending on their iqama professions. permanent visa has more benefits than visit visa, as it does not have tensions of renewing. Visit visa has a validity of 3 months (90 days), It is possible to renew it 2 times, that is up to 9 months. Renew may be unsuccessful in the months of Ramzan and haj.

Documents required for applying Family Visa in Saudi Arabia :

Only benefited professions are applicable for applying family visa. If your iqama profession is not benefited one request your sponsor to change your profession to benefited one.

1. Original valid iqama of Saudi Arabia

2. Passport Copy

3. Passport copies of family members to whom you are inviting.

Fill Online application for family visit visa :

You are the kafeel of the family members you are inviting on family visa, So put your name in place of kafeel while filling the online form.

1. Visit Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, Choose English as language at top right.

2. Click on Individuals, Choose Resident.

3. Select the one you are looking for, Choose 90 days for visit visa.

4. Fill the form and submit.

5. Take a print out of it .

Submit your application to Chamber of commerce :

1. Sign and put the date on the printed application.

2. Take sign and stamp of your sponsor on the printed application.

3. Visit to chamber of commerce of your city where your employer is registered.

4. Pay fee of visa application approximately 30 SR to chamber of commerce.

5. After submitting, You will receive a print out from chamber of commerce.

Check your application status online :

It may take a week or more to process your applied family visa. Keep patience and check your status everyday.

1. Go to MOFA website

2. Choose Application Submitted to mofa

3. Enter your application number, Iqama number and image code.

4. Click Inquire.

Submit your Approved application to Saudi Embassy :

Once your family visa got approval, Send copy of your application or the number of your application to your family member and let them contact nearest agent (will charge) for further process in Saudi embassy of your home country.

Documents required for this process are Original passport of visa applicant, Your Iqama copy, Your Passport copy, 4 passport size photographs.

For married sister :
Authorization letter from husband.

For Mother in Law or Father in Law :

Marriage certificate and copy of the passport and iqama of your wife.

If your Application Rejected :

It is common sometimes your visa application may reject, Do not bother, Apply again and again till you succeed. Sometimes it may accept 4th time, sometimes it may accept first time only. So do not loose hope.

FAMILY VISIT VISA EXPIRATION :

Once visa is approved Saudi embassy have 6 months of time for stamping, Once visa is stamped, Applicant should travel within 3 months else your visa will expire.

EXTEND FAMILY VISIT VISA :

1. If your visa is issued for 90 days you can extend it for 2 more times.

2. If your visa is issued for 30 days you can extend it for 6 more times.

OVERSTAY :

Do not think of overstay, It is illegal, As you are the sponsor of your family you only responsible for it. A fine of SR 25,000/- is imposed on iqama even you stay for single extra day.

COMING BACK TO SAUDI ARABIA AFTER EXPIRATION OF EXIT RE-ENTRY VISA :

Can i still comeback to Sadui Arabia, If my Exit/Re-entry visa expired? For this question, we have two situations. Those two situations are

1. On Same Visa

2. On New Visa

For coming back to Saudi Arabia on SAME VISA :

If you see technically, As your Exit/Re-entry visa expired you cannot comeback. How ever, there is still a slight chance to comeback, If your kafeel want you to comeback, He should make sure if your iqama is valid? If your iqama is not valid, Kafeel unable to bring you back. If your iqama is valid, He can bring you back within 7 months of your expired Exit/Re-entry visa. If you crossed already 7 months after expiration, Then there is no chance.

If your expired Exit/Re-entry visa did not completed 7 months, Your sponsor should visit Jawazat office, Fill the form, submit your documents and should get yellow slip from them.

Next your kafeel should write a request letter to Saudi embassy to allow an employee to comeback after overstayed vaction. This letter should be attested from chamber of commerce and ministry of foreign affairs. He will send those all documents to you and you should process it to submit saudi embassy of your country with the help of agent with all the necessary documents. Once saudi embassy stamped your visa, You should comeback in seven days, You should be ready by booking your ticket.

For coming back to Saudi Arabia on NEW VISA :

Coming back to Saudi Arabia on new visa after expiration of Exit/Re-Entry visa is a violation from you, You will be banned to enter Saudi Arabia for 3 years and a fine of SR 10,000/- will be imposed on you. If your employer reported on you as you did not comeback. You cannot able to know whether your employer is reported or not, He may report you as run away, you may face problems even your new visa processed.

However you can go other GCC countries except Saudi, You can also visit Saudi Arabia on Umrah or Hajj Visa for Umrah or Hajj. If you have planned to leave Saudi Arabia, You should take final exit from your employer.

Saudi Arabia is planning to implement 2 years banned on final exit expatriates for the sake of providing jobs to saudi nationals. Same as Oman government is implementing banned of 2 years on final exit expatriates from the mid of 2015.

Then I reached HDFC website, I visited NRI services page, I seen chat option there, I had chat with their support agent, From there everything gone soft. Agent use to call me everyday and guide through the whole process. He asked me to send minimum deposit of 10000 as Demand Draft, I said its not possible to make DD here, till i open the bank account, Agent accepted the issue and requested his senior management to open my account. He arranged courier guy also to my office to receive documents without any charge, Within 7 days i got Pass Book, Cheque Book, Debit Card all related things of my opened bank account in courier.

HOW TO ADD NEW BORN BABY UNDER YOUR IQAMA

Its a dream of every expatriate to bring and live with his family in Saudi Arabia. What if your wife is pregnant and you are planning to bring your upcoming baby in Saudi Arabia? Here you have two options. First is to make birth of your baby in home country and the other option is to birth your new born baby in Saudi Arabia, which will be very expensive if you do not have family insurance.

If you choose the first option to birth your child in home country you should go through long process which is mentioned in detail below.

Adding your Child under your Iqama(born in Home Country) :

1. Your wife who already hold iqama should Apply for Passport and Visa for your child.

2. Once your child in Saudi Arabia, You can add under your Iqama by depositing a fee of 2000 SR. If your child is already crossed 1 year you should pay an additional fine of 1000 SR.

3. Assure your fee is deposited correctly by checking MOI website.

4. Take a form from Jawazat office for adding your child under your Iqama and fill it in Arabic, attach two photographs of your child. You can request the writers in front of jawazat office to help you, Get attested the form from your employer.

5. Attach a Polio Immunization Certificate received from hospital of your home country and translated birth certificate of your child.

6. Carry original and Copies of parents passports, Submit to Jawazat office addition department.

Adding your Child under your Iqama(born in Saudi Arabia) :

This process is little bit easy compared to the first one, Here you have to go through the following processes to add your child under your Iqama if he born in Saudi.
1. Getting Birth Certificate

1. Getting Birth Certificate :

- Make appointment with Ahwal-e-Madni before your baby born.

- Get Birth Certificate from the hospital where your child born.

- Take original passports and Iqama copies of you and your wife, Printout of Ahwal-e-Madani appointment, MOH Form received from Hospital, Fill and submit "Form 87". Translate into Arabic if you have English documents.

2. Getting Passport for Baby :

- Once you receive Birth Certificate from Ahwal-e-Madni, You should contact your embassy with all documents you have for issuing passport to your baby.

3. Getting Iqama from Jawazat :

- After your baby passport processing, you can give it to your company HR department to add your child under your iqama.

HOW TO EXTEND (RENEW) FAMILY VISIT VISA IN SAUDI ARABIA

Note: According to Arab News (Dated:26-12-2014) Now passport department issued a new rule that family visit visa is limited to only 6 months (180 days) only.

Once you bring your family in visit visa, Now you have the only tension of extending visit visa of your family. Here you have two situations, For how many days your visit visa is issued.

- If your visit visa is issued for 30 days, You can extend it for 6 times ie,. Every 30 days you should extend it, By this you can let your family stay with you for 210 days only.

- If your family visit visa is stamped for 90 days, You can extend it 2 more times ie,. Every 90 days you should extend it, By this you can let your family to stay with you for 270 days only.

Extending Family Visit Visa in Saudi Arabia :

For extending family visit visa in Saudi Arabia, You should apply before one week of your visit visa expiry date. Expatriates have two options here first one is Manually and the other one is Online. This article will describe both of these ways.

1. MANUALLY RENEWAL OF VISIT VISA :

Requirements:

Original and Copy of Passport (Including visa page), Original and Copy of Iqama (Visit visa Sponsor ), Passport size white Background Photo, Filled Passport Form, 100SR Fee (Pay Online through your bank account), Online Token(For Dammam & Khobar residents).

ONLINE EXTENSION OF VISIT VISA :

- For extending visit visa online you should have MOI Abshir account, if you dont have creat one (Details).

- Pay 100SR fee online through your bank account,for the extension of family visit visa.

- Login to your MOI Abshir account, Goto "E-Services" section, Click on "Passports".

- Select "Extend Visit Visa" from dropdown list and Click on "proceed" button.

- Click on "Confirm to Extend Visit Visa", Now you can see a message of "successfully extended visit visa".

OVERSTAY:

If your family overstay even a single day a fine of 25000SR will be charged on the iqama holder of visit visa. So it is better to departure them before 4 or 5 days of expiry date.

SAUDI IQAMA RENEWAL DETAILE PROCESS

As technology improving day by day, Saudi Arabia government adapting all the services from manual work to online.

Now your company HR or your sponsor can renew your iqama online. If your sponsor failed to renew it, he will be fined equivalent to iqama renewal fee, fine is double for any other violation, Three violations of resident may result to departure to your home country.

Your Saudi Arabia bank account and remittance center accounts will be freezed, If your iqama expire, So before expiring of your iqama withdraw all money from your bank account. You can submit a copy of your new iqama in bank and remittance centers to unfreeze it.

- Iqama must be renewed at least 3 days before of its expiry date.

- Iqama renewal fee SR 500/-

- Iqama renewal fee of family including you is SR 1150/-

- If your company has less than 50% of Saudi's, there will be a fee of SR 2400/- for labor office. However, This fee will be exempt for 4 expatriates, if your company (small business) has lessthan 10 employees.

- Few of Residents from countries (Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan, Thailand, Vietnam) have to provide medical test report while renewing iqama.

Once this process is finished, Your sponsor will collect your old iqama and get print of new iqama within two working days. Do not forget to collect a letter from your employer that your iqama is in under renewing. Attach your old iqama copy to that letter, this will be your temporary iqama.

- You can get free sms from MOI (Ministry Of Interior) regarding your services, if you are registered with them (Details).

FINAL EXIT VISA IN SAUDI ARABIA

It does not matter how many years expatriates stay in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its temporary only, At last they have to take final exit.

Final exit process is to be done by your employer only, So be good with them, keep in mind about your contract notice period. If you do not know about your contract notice period, you should give atleast 30 days for processing your final exit. Before you processing final exit visa in Saudi, you have to make sure you finished certain things which is very important to do before exiting.

- If you are staying in kingdom with family, Send them to your home country before you.

- Should Withdraw all money from your bank accounts before they freeze your accounts.

- If you are renting a house, Notice the landlord before 30 days. If you still have contract with house for few months, intorduce some other to landlord in place of you for renting.

- Clear bills, surrender and deactivate all credit cards and hand over them to the credit card companies. It is possible they can stop you at airport at the time of departure.

- Clear all traffic fines and tickets related on your name, You can check your violations from MOI website (Details).

- Sell your Car and send all important things to your home country through cargo.

- Clear electricity bills, Deactivate Landlines and Post paid sim cards under your name or iqama.

- Get police clearance certificate, If you have plan to go to western or european countries in future.

End of Service Benefits :

Once your final exit visa processed, You can request your employer to get end of service amount in cash as your bank account freezed. You can send amount to your home country with the help of your friends iqama as you do not have.

Final Exit Visa :

Keep the final exit visa paper in safe place, even if you are in home country. As it will be asked when you are entering in Saudi Arabia on another Job. Some companies do not provide final exit paper as it was not stamped by immigration authorites, But there will be a final exit stamp on your passport.
